Insufficient and Termination of Lactation

Postpartum agalactia, insufficient and termination of breast milk is difficult for both mother and infant. The mother may experience swelling and pain in the breasts or may develop mastitis as well as miss the enhancement in bonding with the infant that breast-feeding offers. The infant suffers from a lack of the ideal nutrition that breast milk provides and may even lead to unnecessary digestive and emotional stress.
