Professor Wang Qing-Guo

Professor Wang QingguoProfessor Wang Qing-Guo received his medical doctorate honour in 1988, promoted to professor in 1994, received the honour of "Top 100 outstanding young Chinese medicine doctors in China” in 1995, and begin to take doctoral students in 1997, and is the top scientist of the 973 research project.

Professor Wang published more than 40 research articles and 20 academic books. Professor Wang was the editor in chief, China Science and Technology Press; associate editor, Shandong Science and Technology Press; Associate Editor, Changchun Publishing House; associate editor, Guangdong Science and Technology Press; editor in chief, Traditional Chinese Medicine Press.

Professor Wang Qing-Guo is the vice president of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Office, Head of the Clinical Chinese Medicine department of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.

Professor Wang Qing-Guo is also the Vice chairman of academic research, the National Pharmacopoeia Committee of China, a member of State Food and Drug Administration New Drug Review Expert Committee of China, and a member of Science and Technology Committee, Ministry of Education, China.

Professor Wang Wei

Professor Wang WeiProfessor, MD, postdoctoral, doctoral student of Integrative Medicine based professional instructors, the Academic Committee of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, member of the academic degree evaluation committee.

Professor Wang Wei is the Secretary-General, Graduate School, "211" Project Office, Ministry of Education, China; member of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Research Association, member and secretary of the Beijing Association of Integrative Youth Work Committee; associate editor of "Journal of Clinical Medicine,".

Professor Wang Wei has more than 20 published research articles, and presently the head of following research projects:

Dr. Angela Lee
TCMD,  M.Sc. R.Ac

Dr. Angela Lee is a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 2000 and Masters Degree specializing in Pediatrics from the Zhejiang College of TCM in 2003. Dr. Lee has also worked in the Health Promotions department of the Chinese Medicine Association (CMA) in Beijing, China, for two years.

Dr. Lee actively practiced TCM for years in Beijing and various cities throughout the province of Zhejiang. She also worked on laboratory research projects focusing on TCM Pediatrics. As the Dean of the Academic affairs at ACATCM, Dr. Lee focuses on the quality of education, as well as use of acupuncture and herbs to treat complicated conditions.

Dr. Colton J. Oswald
BA, TCMD, R.Ac

Dr. Oswald received his certificate of clinical practice in Chinese Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from WHO Acupuncture Training Center in Nanjing, China, in 1999. He became a registered acupuncturist in Alberta after he returned from China. Dr. Oswald graduated with a diploma in TCM from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Victoria, BC in 1999. He also received B.A. degree from the University of Calgary in 1995.

Dr. Oswald started teaching at the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2001, his extensive knowledge in TCM has allow him to teach varies courses, include TCM Diagnostics, Herbology, Tui Na, External TCM, TCM Gynecology and Pediatrics, Patent Medicine and clinical internships. Dr. Oswald has 14 years experience in Taiji Quan and currently also held his own private clinical practices.

Dr. Dennis Lee
HBSc, M.Sc, TCMD, R.Ac

Dr. Lee received his certificate of clinical training in acupuncture and Chinese herbs from the Zhe Jiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China in 2002. At the same year, Dr. Lee graduated from the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine as the top student and became a registered acupuncturist. Dr. Lee received a Master of Science degree from the University of Alberta, majoring in the field of cell biology in 2000. He also holds an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Western Ontario (1996).

From 1993 to 1997, he was involved in Biomedical research projects at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica in Taiwan. Dr. Lee teaches both western science and acupuncture courses at the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and also has a private clinical practice at the Inner Balance Spa in Kensington.

In addition, Dr. Lee is currently pursuing his PhD in Traditional Chinese Medicine offered through the joint venture with the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.

Dr. Lichun Huang
 

Dr. Lichun Huangis recognized as the world’s top expert in the field of Auricular Medicine. She has received the Recognition of Mastery and Lifetime Achievement Award at the World International Symposium on Auricular Therapy and Auricular Medicine. She has received a metal plaque award from the President of Italy, in recognition of the series of the treatments given to him during his visit to China. She led the delegation of the Chinese Acupuncturists to teach these skills to doctors in Cuba, and received the Friendship and Struggle Award and Certificate from Cuba’s President.

Dr. Huang worked in the "301" Military Hospital, the premier hospital in Beijing, for over 35 years before coming to the United States. She was Chief Director of the Acupuncture Department of the "301" Military Hospital for more than 10 years.

She is regarded as the most superior Auricular Medicine specialist in the world, and also as one of the top acupuncturists in China. She has treated over 250,000 patients throughout the world, among them succeeding generations of the top government leaders of China, and other foreign counties´ government officials; such as President of Italy and Cuba. Dr. Huang was honored as the top Medical Expert in her field by the Chinese Government, and is a consultant to many medical organizations throughout the world.

Dr. Huang, over the years, has conducted and recorded extensive research, and is the top researcher in the field of Auricular Medicine. She has written and published four books on Auricular Diagnosis and Treatment in the Chinese language; three of which have been translated into English; one into Spanish and one into Portuguese.

Dr. Huang is now the President of Auricular Medicine International Research & Training Center (AMIRTC), which was founded to train and certify various levels of proficiency in Auricular Medicine.

Dr. Huang is the head of the graduate programs at ACATCM.

Dr. Kelly Murphy
B.Sc, L.Ac

Prior to receiving her Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at SCU, which she received in December 2004, Kelly Murphy Nessa had graduated from the University of Calgary with a BS in Kinesiology and minor in Psychology and then completed a Certificate of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Alberta College of AOM (Canada). 

Kelly also values her time spent volunteering for various community events, and participating in some of her favorite activities, including triathlons, weight lifting, roller blading, reading, visiting family and friends, yoga, and hiking.

Dr. Mandy Liu
TCMD, MD (China), R.Ac, B.Sc.

Dr. Mandy Liu received her medical degree in Sun Yet-san University of Medical Sciences, Guangzhou, China, majored in clinical medicine. From 1995-2000 she worked in the Dongshan Hospital, Guangzhou, China in her chosen medical field as a pediatrician. Dr. Liu was advanced trained in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine as Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China, and has been involved with ACATCM since 2002.

In Canada, Dr. Liu started her career at the Great Wall Clinic practicing acupuncture and TCM. With her background as a MD from China and the training in both conventional western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Liu has gained a great reputation for successfully helping patients with a variety of medical conditions, including sports injuries, neurological and muscular disorders, gynecological diseases and internal medicine. Dr. Liu has also been successful in resolving tension, stress and emotional conditions.

Dr. Jun Wei
RAc, DTCM, B.Sc.

Dr.Wei received her Bachelor’s degree in acupuncture and TuiNa (chinese massage) from TianJin University of Traditoinal Chinese Medicine in 1991.Since then , Dr. Wei has worked as an professional acupuncturist over 15 years in China. she also used to teach and instruct students at her affiliated school of TianJin Dagang hospital.

Every year she continues her advanced training in China from the top acupuncturists, which forms her specialization in many fields such as pain management, Bell's palsy, stroke, gastrointestinal disorders and women health care.

Dr. Ellen Huang
TCMD, R.Ac

Dr. Ellen Huang is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Registered Acupuncturist. Born and raised in Taiwan, ROC, Ellen has called Calgary home for the past eight years. Her Chinese medical background includes formal training and certification for acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine in Alberta, as well as numerous certificates and diplomas from training in prestigious institutes in Taiwan and mainland China.

Ellen holds a Bachelor's degree from Providence University in Taichung,Taiwan. She then went on to continue her studies at the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Calgary, one of the oldest and most progressive acupuncture schools in Alberta. She is a registered acupuncturist in Alberta and has successfully completed all licensing requirements in BC as well.

In addition to her training in Canada, Ellen received her certificate of clinical practice in Chinese Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from WHO (World Health Organization) Acupuncture Training Center in Bejing, China, in 2006. She also completed her Certificate of Clinical Acupuncture and Massage Therapy from the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology. Other training and qualifications include a specialist course in abdominal acupuncture, an internship at China’s National Research Centre for Traditional Chinese Medicine, and an additional internship with a traditional herbalist in Rangpur, Bangladesh. Ellen keeps her professional knowledge current with ongoing professional development and independent studies, including, recently, qigong and microcurrent electro-acupuncture.
