Doctor Norman Liu graduated from Fujian Medical University, China in 1991. For the following seven years, he practiced as a physician at Mindong Hospital in Fujian. Upon completing a one-year hematology specialist training at Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai in 1999, he specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of adults with blood abnormalities and solid cancers at Mindong Hospital-- publishing several articles in The Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma, and serving as a Committee Member for the 4th Session of the Hematology Branch of the Fujian Province Medical Association.
Since coming to Canada in 2005, Dr. Liu has passed the MCCEE, MCCQE Part I, OSCE, and USMLE Step 2 CK exams. He has taken the Orientation to the Canadian Health Care System course and the M-CAP program at University of Calgary. Currently, Dr. Liu is a member of AIMGA, and he keeps his medical knowledge updated with ongoing independent study.
