Thigh Gate

Location:

On the anterior aspect of the thigh, on the line connecting the anterior superior iliac spine and the lower lateral border of the patella, level with the lower border of the symphysis pubis, in the depression on the lateral side of m. sartorius when the thigh is flexed.

Indications:

Pain in the thigh, muscular atrophy, motor impairment, numbness and pain of the lower extremities.

Functions:

Frees obstructions in the meridian, dispels Wind-Damp, alleviates pain.

Needling:

Perpendicular insertion 1.0 - 2.0 cun.
