English translation:

Shining Sea


On the medial aspect of the foot, in the depression below the tip of the medial malleolus.


Master Point of the Yin Qiao Vessel (couple with LU 7)


  • Dry sore throat, irregular menses, uterine prolapse.
  • Vaginal discharge, pruritis vulvae, urinary frequency, urinary retention, constipation, difficult labour, foot swelling/limb swelling, epilepsy, psychosis, neuraesthenia, insomnia/hypersomnia, hernia, oedema, hemiplegia.
  • Excessive erection, intestinal tuberculosis, eye pain, visual problems, unilateral lower abdominal pain in women, retention of placenta, chronic malaria, fever, asthma, thoracic oppression, no desire to eat, nocturnal enuresis, yellow urine, heat in the lower abdomen, pain and weakness of the limbs, running piglet, postpartum abdominal pain, persistent flow of lochia, female lassitude due to Qi and blood vacuity, heat vexation in the five hearts, cramp in the hands and feet preventing movement, cholera with vomiting and diarrhoea, headache.


Nourishes the Kidneys, clears deficiency-Heat, regulates the Yin Qiao vessel, benefits the throat, benefits the eyes, calms the Shen.


KID 6 is one of the best points to nourish Kidney Yin.


Perpendicular insertion .3 - .5 cun.
