Tendinitis, whether from tennis or golf is a fairly common condition. Its prevalence increases with age due to our tendons becoming less flexible. Incidence is higher in athletes for obvious reasons, with Golfer's Elbow being more common in men.

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is an injury caused by too much pressure on the median nerve in the wrist. Western medicine treats CTS with anti-inflammatory drugs, wrist splints, corticosteroid injection and surgery.

Each year, millions of people suffer from joint pain. It can be the most painful sensation of all, especially when our mobility is affected.

Arthritis is the most commonly diagnosed cause of painful joints, and there is plenty of research showing that acupuncture is an effective treatment method in helping arthritic patients.

A growing number of professional and amateur athletes are embracing acupuncture as a treatment not only for their injuries, but also to help optimize their physical conditioning.

Today, one of the most common acupuncture applications is to help with pain, and we have many enquiries about neck and shoulder pain. Especially from people who sit at a desk all day.

Beside continuous and repetitive local stresses, neck and shoulder pain can be caused by a variety of other pathologies such as strain, trauma and soft tissue injuries.
