Juliao 巨髎

English translation:

Great Crevice

Location:

On the face, directly below the pupil of the eye, at the level of the lower border of the ala nasi, on the lateral side of the nasolabial groove.

Classification:

Crossing point of the Stomach Meridian and the Yang Qiao Vessel.

Indications:

Facial paralysis, twitching of eyelids, epistaxis, toothache, swelling of lips and cheek.

Functions:

Dispels Wind, relieves swelling and pain.

Needling:

Oblique or subcutaneous insertion .3 - .5 cun.
