Chinese Name:

Dicang 地仓

English translation:

Earth Granary

Location:

On the face, lateral to the corner of the mouth, directly below the pupil of the eye.

Classification:

Crossing point of the Stomach, Large Intestine Meridians and the Yang Qiao Vessel

Indications:

Facial paralysis (deviation of mouth), excessive salivation. Twitching/spasm of eyelid.
Bell's palsy, trigeminal neuralgia

Functions:

Dispels Wind, relieves pain, activates the meridian.

Needling:

Oblique or subcutaneous insertion .5 - .8 cun; or puncture towards ST 6.
