English translation:

Below the Joint

Location:

On the face, anterior to the ear, in the depression between the zygomatic arch and the condyloid process of the mandible.

Classification:

Crossing point of the Stomach and Gall Bladder Meridians.

Indications:

Facial paralysis (deviation of mouth), toothache, deafness.
Tinnitus, otorrhea, earache, trismus, temperomandibular joint problems, trigeminal neuralgia.

Functions:

Clears obstructions in the meridian, benefits the ears, jaw and teeth.

Needling:

Perpendicular insertion .5 - 1.0 cun.
