Chinese Name:

Baihuanshu 白环俞

English translation:

White Ring Shu

Location:

In the region of the sacrum, 1.5 cun lateral to the middle sacral crest, at the level of the 4th posterior sacral foramen.

Indications:

  • Seminal emission, irregular menses, vaginal discharge, low back and hip pain.
  • Hernia pain, sciatica, wei syndrome of lower limbs, spasms of anal sphincter/difficult defecation, constipation, rectal prolapse, lin syndrome, colic.
  • Cannot sleep for a long time, vacuity heat block, tuberculosis with intermittent fever, Yang (heat) malaria, apoplexy due to Yin (cold), chronic peritonitis, enuresis, dysmenorrhea, excessive uterine bleeding, muscualr contractures, sacral paralysis, sequelae of infantile paralysis, atrophy of arm.

Functions:

Benefits the lower back, regulates menstruation.

Needling:

Perpendicular insertion 1.0 - 1.5 cun.
