Wind Gate


On the back, 1.5 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of the 2nd thoracic vertebra.


Crossing point of the Urinary Bladder Meridian and Du Vessel


  • Respiratory disorders (common cold / bronchitis / asthma / pleurisy / pneumonia / whopping cough), cough, stiff neck, back pain.
  • Headache, nasal obstruction, shoulder pain, fever, jaundice, urticaria, abscess on the back, vomiting, heat sensations.
  • Heavy eye, sneezing, tonsillitis, agitation, infantile malnutrition, hemiplegia, quadriplegia


Releases the exterior, strengthens Wei Qi, spreads and descends Lung Qi, regulates Ying and Wei Qi.


Oblique insertion .5 - .8 cun
