A Milestone in Mental Health and Traditional Chinese Medicine

2024 RBC Huatuo Invitational Golf Tournament

Calgary, AB – July 8, 2024 – The 2024 RBC Huatuo Invitational Golf Tournament, held at the Hamptons Golf Club in Calgary on July 3rd, marked a significant moment in mental health research with acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. As the first event of its kind in Canada, the tournament successfully raised $20,000 to support mental health initiatives for youth.

A Historic Milestone
The RBC Huatuo Invitational Golf Tournament demonstrated the innovative combination of sports and traditional healthcare practices. The funds raised will support mental health research programs at Huatuo Clinic, underscoring the importance of holistic approaches to youth mental health.

Tournament Achievements
Despite windy conditions, Jun Yan emerged as the individual champion with a score of 75. The team champions, comprising Luke Zhao, Simon Deng, Bobby Chao, and William Huang, finished 15 under par. The event was held under clear skies, adding to the positive experience for all participants.

Supporting Mental Health
Mental health is one of the most overlooked health issues of the 21st century. Initiatives by Huatuo Clinic, supported by RBC, aim to address this critical issue through the integration of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.
