Are there any age requirements for studying Acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine?

ACATCM is an institution that is welcoming to students of all ages who have an interest in pursuing a career in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). However, we do have a minimum requirement for admission, which is that students must be at least 18 years old and have completed their high school education with an Alberta high school diploma or non-Alberta equivalent that has been verified by transcript.

Our classes boast a diverse range of ages, usually ranging from 20 to 60 plus years old, with the majority of students falling within the 20-40 age range. We believe that diversity in age adds to the richness of the learning experience and brings a variety of perspectives and experiences to the classroom.

ACATCM does not impose an age limit for admission because we believe that anyone who is passionate about TCM and Acupuncture should have the opportunity to pursue their education, regardless of age. We aim to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students, valuing their unique backgrounds and experiences, and we do welcome mature students.

We understand that returning to school as a mature student can be challenging, and we offer a range of support services to help students succeed in their studies. Our academic advising, tutoring, and mentorship programs provide students with the tools and resources they need to achieve their academic and professional goals.

If you are interested in pursuing a career in Acupuncture and TCM, we encourage you to apply to ACATCM, regardless of your age. Our admissions team is always available to assist with any questions you may have and guide you through the application process.
