Diploma to Degree Application
A straightforward process for our students.
What is Diploma-to-Degree Application?
The Diploma-to-Degree Application is the one-stop Fall 2026 application for ACATCM diploma students and alumni. It combines your Bachelor of Acupuncture (B.Ac) admission application with the advanced-standing assessment for prior ACATCM diploma coursework.
The form takes about 10 minutes to complete. It is designed for applicants whose ACATCM record can be verified internally by the Registrar’s Office, with additional uploads only where needed.
Who is this application for?
Use this form if you are applying to the B.Ac from an ACATCM diploma pathway, including:
- Current ACATCM Acupuncture Diploma students in Year 1, Year 2, or Year 3.
- Current ACATCM TCM Diploma students, including Year 4 students who need a custom articulation review.
- ACATCM diploma graduates applying as alumni.
- Applicants with an ACATCM Student or Alumni ID who want their ACATCM coursework reviewed for B.Ac advanced standing.
Advanced standing and credit limits
Advanced standing is based on ACATCM’s internal Diploma-to-B.Ac articulation matrix and confirmed by the Registrar’s Office and B.Ac Program Chair.
- Year 3 Acupuncture Diploma graduates may be considered for entry into B.Ac Year 3, subject to final review.
- Year 2 diploma students may be considered for entry into B.Ac Year 2 after foundational coursework is verified.
- Year 1 diploma students are normally advised to enter B.Ac Year 1 directly, with limited transfer credit where exact equivalence is established.
- TCM Diploma students and graduates receive a customized review because some coursework maps differently into the B.Ac.
- Transfer credit and PLAR combined may not exceed 50% of the 149-credit degree, approximately 74 credits.
What the form asks for
This form uses shared applicant fields and a short ACATCM diploma record section. Several workflow fields are hidden, including Application Form = A – Diploma-to-Degree and Intake Term = Fall 2026.

Most diploma students do not need PLAR for standard diploma-to-degree transfer assessment. This form includes an optional PLAR add-on only for applicants requesting recognition for specific B.Ac courses based on additional experience.
- You can indicate whether you are also requesting PLAR for any specific B.Ac courses.
- If selected, the form asks for target B.Ac courses from a list maintained by the B.Ac Program Chair.
- You will provide a brief experience summary of at least 150 characters.
- You may upload supporting evidence files in PDF, DOCX, or JPG format, up to 10 MB each.
The Diploma-to-Degree process
- Submit this form with your contact details, ACATCM ID, diploma program, study year, citizenship status, and English proficiency information.
- Registrar’s Office verifies your ACATCM record, including completed courses, graduation status, and any required parchment upload.
- Advanced-standing review maps completed diploma coursework to B.Ac requirements using the internal articulation matrix.
- Optional PLAR review begins only if you selected the PLAR add-on and submitted target courses and evidence.
- Decision and program plan are issued with awarded credit, remaining B.Ac coursework, and any bridging requirements.
- Advising and enrolment confirm your Fall 2026 B.Ac pathway and next registration steps.
