2018 Events Review

2018 was a great year for the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Here are sources of the milestones:

April 20, 2018 – the Sino North American Partnership for Traditional Chinese Medicine (SNAPTCM) was established in the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

April 20, 2018 – the Li Shizhen 500th birthday memorial ceremony was jointly held by the SNAPTCM and Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

April 20, 2018 – the TCM Technology Base of Canada was established in the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

April 20 to 22, 2018 – the first North American Heat Sensitive Moxibustion core seminar was successfully held in Calgary. This was Professor Chen Rixin the first time visiting Canada & North America

April 22 and June 24, 2018 – Premiered Heat sensitive moxibustion public health care lectures, which were actively attended by TCM enthusiasts

April 22 and July 28, 2018 – two public Heat sensitive moxibustion demonstration and treatment sessions were held. Attracting more than 100 community participants

August 16, 18, 21, 23 and 25, 2018 – At the Calgary Global Festival, Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine were invited by Chinese delegation to promote Chinese culture by demonstrating TCM Tongue Diagnosis

September 2018 – Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine has achieved record enrollment, with outstanding results by our graduates with 100% passing rate by the CAAA written and Point Exam

September 29 and 30, 2018 – The first Introductory lecture of Heat sensitive Moxibustion outside of Alberta was held in Toronto by SNAPTCM

October 28, 2018 – The "Healthy Sleep Analysis" lecture at the community service center of Calgary was presented by Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

November 17, 2018 – a lecture on "Marijuana Legalization and Campus Safety Issues" at the university of Calgary was presented by Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine

November 23, 2018 – the second Moxibustion Rediscovered Seminar was successfully held in Edmonton, bringing professor Chen Rixin to Canada for the second time
