International Application Procedures
We suggest international students take the following guidelines for admission. Information regarding which program is best suited for you can be found here.
- Please ensure our admission requirements are met, further information on the English proficiency requirements for international students can be found here.
- Submit the application online. Ensure supporting documentation is uploaded properly, or enclosed in your mail. This may includes:
- Copies of certificates awarded and official transcripts verified through IQAS or WES.
- Two passport-sized photographs.
- A non-refundable application fee of $500.00 CAD (e-transfer, bank draft, and Money Order are recommended) payable to ACATCM.
- A letter of intent that states your background, motivation for choosing this profession, etc.
- Criminal Record Check which is obtained within 6 months upon application.
- Two referral letters from non-family members.
- Applications are reviewed by the Admissions Office and/or Registrar upon receipt. Qualified applicants may be invited to participate in an interview conducted in person or by video conference with a senior administrator. The interview process evaluates academic readiness, professional suitability, ethical reasoning, communication skills, and the ability to meet expectations for participation in an entry-to-practice healthcare program.
- Applicants are notified in writing of the admissions decision. To confirm your Offer of Acceptance and ensure that you do not lose your acceptance, you will need to accept your admission offer by the deadline indicated in your Offer of Acceptance by paying the required registration deposit.
- International applicants must obtain authorization to study in Canada from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
- Students must provide a valid Study Permit issued by IRCC, or the IRCC Letter of Introduction/Study Permit Approval Letter, prior to enrollment.
- Students are required to maintain valid immigration status for the duration of their studies. Failure to provide valid study permit documentation prior to the program start date may result in inability to enroll.
