Lung Meridian (Hand Greater Yin) Points

LU-2 (Yun Men)


Chinese Name:

Yunmen 云门

English translation:

Cloud Door


On the upper lateral chest, above the acromioscapula, in the depression below the acromial end of the clavicle, 6 cun from the midline of the chest.

Locating methods:

The patient sits straight with hands against waist. In the middle of the depression between the acromion and the humerus.


Asthma • Chest Agitation and Oppression • Cough • Shoulder Movement Limited • Shoulder Pain • Thoracic Fullness


Regulates and descends Lung Qi, disperses chest fullness, stops cough.


Oblique insertion .5 - .8 cun toward the lateral aspect of the chest or subcutaneous insertion.


Do not insert deeply toward the medial aspect to avoid puncturing the lungs.
