Welcoming our 25th anniversary in 2022, we are excited to announce that the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACATCM) has now partnered with The University of Calgary for the Complementary Health Integration Project (C.H.I.P.). The C.H.I.P. program further extended our leadership in community services, education, research, and advancing the acupuncture profession.
C.H.I.P. is a community-based research project focusing on helping Covid-19 related mental health, pain, and addiction issues. This one-of-a-kind study is open to anyone under the age of 24 or over the age of 55 and will be complimentary to all qualified participants.
ACATCM initiated the Community-Outreach Weekends program in October 2020. The program has since provided hundreds of complimentary acupuncture treatments pertaining to mental health, pain, and addictions.
The Covid-19 pandemic brought challenges to people on many fronts, with health is one of them. At ACATCM, we are committed to broadening our health services and enhancing mental health, pain, and addiction support for Albertans during and after this unprecedented time.
