Chinese Name:

Quanliao 颧髎 

English translation:

Cheek Bone Crevice


On the face, directly below the outer canthus of the eye, in the depression on the lower border of zygomatic bone.


Crossing point of the Small Intestine and San Jiao Meridians


Facial paralysis, twitching of eyelids, pain in the face, toothache, swelling of the cheek, yellowish sclera.


Expels Wind, alleviates pain.


Perpendicular insertion .3 - .5 cun; oblique or subcutaneous insertion .5 - 1.0 cun. No moxa.
