Small Intestine Meridian (Hand Tai Yin) Points

SI-8 (Xiao Hai)


Chinese Name:

Xiaohai 小海

English translation:

Small Sea


On the medial aspect of the elbow, in the depression between the olecranon of the ulna and the medial epicondyle of the humerus.


He-Sea point of the Small Intestine Meridian


Sudden loss of voice, deafness, hand and arm pain.
Toothache, lassitude.
Post-operative pain associated with pneumonectomy.


Activates the meridian, alleviates pain, clears Heat and Damp-Heat.


He-Sea points are where the qi of the meridian collects and goes deep into the body. He-sea points are known to indicated treat rebellious qi and diarrhea.


Perpendicular insertion .3 - .5 cun.
