ST-37 (Shang Ju Xu)


Chinese Name:

Shangjuxu 上巨虚

English translation:

Great Upper Hollow


On the anterior aspect of the lower leg, 6 cun below ST 35, one finger-breadth (middle finger) from the anterior crest of the tibia.


Lower He-Sea point of the Large Intestine Meridian Point of the Sea of Blood


Appendicitis, dysentry, constipation, Stomach/Spleen Xu (poor digestion), foot swelling, hemiplegia, knee swelling, paralysis and pain of lower extremities.


Regulates the intestines and the Stomach and Spleen, resolves Damp-Heat (alleviates dysentery and diarrhea), relieves pain.


Perpendicular insertion 1.0 - 1.5 cun.
