At ACATCM, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams and excel in their studies. That’s why we are proud to offer financial aid with a range of scholarships and bursaries to support our students in their educational journey.

2024 Red Leaf Wellness Scholarship for Acupuncture Excellence

This Acupuncture scholarship was established to recognize excellence in an Acupuncture or TCM diploma or degree program. Red Leaf Wellness will graciously provide a gift of $1,000 CAD in award funds to one recipient in accordance with the terms set forth below: 

– Applicants must be full-time, continuing students enrolled in a recognized Acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) program at an accredited institution in Alberta.
– First-year students are not eligible to apply. Applicants must have completed at least one year of study in their program.
– Applicants must have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 (equivalent to an A- grade or 90-94%) on a 4.0 scale, including all courses completed in their program to date.
– Applicants must be in good academic standing, with no history of academic misconduct or non-academic misconduct at their current institution or any previous post-secondary institutions.
– May not have previously received a scholarship or bursary from Red Leaf Wellness.
– Submit a 500-word essay highlighting their excellence in a volunteer role/activity, their TCM journey, and how the funds would shape their education/career.

Please note that meeting the minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee the awarding of a scholarship. The selection committee will consider various factors, including academic merit, volunteer experience, the strength and clarity of the personal statements.

2024 Red Leaf Wellness Academic Bursary

This Academic Bursary has been established to provide financial support to students in an Acupuncture or Naturopathic Medicine diploma or degree program. Red Leaf Wellness will graciously provide a gift of $1,000 CAD in award funds to one recipient in accordance with the terms set forth below:  

– Applicants must be full-time, continuing students enrolled in either of:
– a recognized Acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) program at an accredited institution in Alberta or
– a recognized Naturopathic Medicine program at an accredited institution in Canada.
– First-year students are not eligible to apply. Applicants must have completed at least one year of study in their program.
– Applicants must have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 (equivalent to a B+ grade or 77-79%) on a 4.0 scale, including all courses completed in their program to date.
– Applicants must be in good academic standing, with no history of academic misconduct or non-academic misconduct at their current institution or any previous post-secondary institutions.
– Demonstrate financial need (a useful guide is here).
– May not have previously received a scholarship or bursary from Red Leaf Wellness.
– Submit a 500-word essay highlighting their excellence in a volunteer role/activity, their journey in their field of study, and how the funds would shape their education/career.
– Submit a 250-word essay that outlines their financial need.

Alberta’s government offers scholarships and awards based on academic excellence and achievement, to encourage and reward the excellence of Albertans in post-secondary study.

Scholarships for International Students

Are you an international student looking to study in Canada or a Canadian scholar searching for funding to support your studies or research abroad? Global Affairs Canada is responsible for the Government of Canada’s participation in major international scholarship programs. It features international scholarships offered by Canadian governments, foreign governments, non-governmental and international organizations.

Indspire Bursaries and Scholarships (Indigenous Education)

Since 1996, Indspire has provided over $190 million in financial support through more than 59,000 bursaries, scholarships and awards to First Nations, Inuit and Métis students. All Building Brighter Futures donations are matched by the Government of Canada allowing us to be double the impact for students. Disability Awards

The Disability Awards website is created by the National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) to help post-secondary students search hundreds of scholarships available across Canada specifically for students with disabilities.
